FROM DAILY ENTRIES TO WEEKLY TOTALS
How to use your time card
For each day you worked, enter a clock-in time, a clock-out time, and the unpaid break minutes to deduct. Leave both time fields empty on days off. If you work a split shift, select Add Shift and enter the second period separately.
Daily hours and weekly totals
Each shift is calculated in whole minutes. The daily result adds that day's shifts; the weekly hours calculator adds all seven daily totals. Decimal hours are calculated from those exact minute totals, so the weekly result does not accumulate rounding from displayed daily decimals.
Split shifts and overnight work
For a split shift of 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, enter two shifts. The gap between shifts is already excluded; do not deduct it again as a break. An overnight shift stays with its start day, including a Sunday shift that ends Monday morning. The tool rejects overlapping shift entries.
Frequently asked questions
Does this calculate overtime pay?
No. If you enter an hourly rate, all work minutes use that one rate. Estimated gross pay is before taxes and deductions, without overtime premiums or other adjustments. It is not a payroll calculation.
Do I enter breaks in minutes or decimals?
Enter whole minutes: 30 for half an hour, 60 for one hour, or 0 for no deduction. A blank break field needs an entry. Only breaks you want excluded from work time should be deducted.
Can I save my time card?
No. Your entries stay only in this open page and are lost if you reload or leave. Record your totals before closing it. No account is required.
Are dates and daylight saving time included?
No. This tool uses clock times, not dates or time zones. It does not adjust for daylight saving time. Matching clock-in and clock-out times count as zero hours; each shift must be less than 24 hours.
